The fuselage paint scheme got done this morning and I thought I'd log a few photos before the coats of Future and decal application.
The intricate paint scheme required masking and spraying in several stages, protecting the wings and interior being the only masking left on throughout.

The fuselage colours were all Tamiya stock colours with the exception of the "Interior Grey Blue" panel second from the forward brown one. Used front to back were Red Brown XF-64, The mixed Blue Grey, Dark Green XF-61, and Cockpit Green XF-71, and the dark green again. The tail "Bavarian Blue" was a mix of roughly 1/3 each of Tamiya Blue X-4, Sky Blue X-14, and light Blue XF-23. The underside is Light Blue XF-23.

The overspray in the light green panel behind the cockpit will be covered by the personal marking band when applied. The underside was then masked and sprayed and after drying the tail was done.

Here's the tail section with the rudder and elevators "posed' for the photo.

The colours need a "wash" or three to tone them down a bit, I'll be using a "buff' or grey, possibly a combination of them once the decals are on and prior to the final top coat. Next immediate step is a few coats of Future to provide for the decals.
Cheers,
Lance
