Dear friends,
I promised to Show you my latest Project of my Gotha.
First I will Show you some WIP Pictures.
The story behind this scene is (maybe) real.
in the night from 10th to 11th November 1916 the MoRoTas Gotha crashed down into a farm house in the near of Gent (Belgium).
My Intension was to Show what happend shortly before it crashes.
There was an Explosion on the starboard engine that blew of the cowling and destroyed the prop. The cowling smashes in the water and drives off the geese.
Sadly I did not take any Pictures of the completed base, were you can read the Story in a newspaper and the conversation of the Crew.
The Scene took me 14 month of work. the tree has 5000 leaves each glued by Hand and the reed was made of whire coffee and 1500 selfmade paper leaves.
On the last EME in Heiden I won a sliver medal and the people's choice award

And here the completed model

Some Detail pics of the groundwork

And the completed Diorama

Here the text that I have printed on Linnen and fixed it on the frontside of the base:

It says:
Lt
Mons: We have lost the starboard engine!
Lt.
Roland Tasche: There! a field next to the farm!
Uffz. Hermann
Tasche: Gentlemen! Hold fast! We go down!
his also explains the Name MoRoTas
and here the newspaper. That says that the plane crashed and only one member surwived.

I hope you like it. if you have any questions, don't heritate to ask me.
Bye,
Manni
