Hello friends,
I think it's time for my first building report. As you know, I ordered the DH.9a. After only five days, she was lying on my table! After the usual preparations, I have the frame for the cockpit in light wood Brown painted and provided with a wood grain. Here are the first images.

(The upper frame has no grain. Is unfortunately hard to see, sorry.)

Now I'm waiting for the PE parts of HGW, so I can go on.

Hi Jürgen,

that makes me happy that it now starts with you with the Ninak.

HGW is pretty fast, because you should not have to wait very long.
I'm curious how it then goes on.

While I wait for the parts of HGW, I have done my time thinking about the rigging. Although offered EZ-Line products are pretty, but still not to my taste perfectly. Since I made earlier historic ship, I thought, why not make the ropes himself. Here is the result. Links to the images you see a line stretched as it sells EZ, next to the handmade ropes in different strengths. The RAF typical flat cables are possible, as can be seen on the far right.

Finally it goes on!

After a little forced break (too much work) I have finally managed to continue building a little.
Let's start with the cockpit. First, I have decided the pedals and two joysticks.

What would be a cockpit without flight instruments? Since me the supplied instrument panel not really liked, but this is a matter of taste, it was etched parts of HGW a little refined. (Unfortunately, the record in the "size" with Macro is not so easy, but I hope it goes anyway)

Next construction is the engine. Again WNW provides excellent details that I will improve with etched parts of HGW. So the engine looks at the moment.

That reminds me, the air inlets were a little too thick walls, they have been gently sanded down to a manageable level.

So, that's it for the moment again.

Thanks for the positive feedback!
And on it goes with the interior decoration.
Let's start with the camera to the Enlightenment. Although later barely visible, WNW has provided for the camera lens.

Also on the engine itself has done, even if it is only the suspension. This I have only painted black, and have then applied with a bristle brush Wood Brown to get a dirty wooden surface.

It continues with the various lifting and control cables and control rods.
The levers of plastic I have replaced with etched parts of the HWG. The first self-made ropes now been used.

And brought to completion the grid structure with additional parts, as well as the engine, the view into the fuselage shell.

I guess the effort with the control cables, and the tension wire was worth it.

Coming along nicely! How are you going to do the "ears' that stick out of the fuselage for the rudder cables?

Today I want you to show the almost-finished inner section. It now missing only a few connections to the engine and the battery. The engine is preliminary but placed only in the holder. Also in this assembly the fit is excellent. A little tip on the edge, for those who have never had a Wingnutkit in his hands. Unlike most manufacturers, make sure the stick, which is at the splices not [/ B] color. Not only, that would not keep the adhesive as well, even the splices or connection points almost "suction" designed. Any paint prevents the mating of the parts! As usual, still images at the current stage.
