This project scared me at the start but now that I have settled in I am enjoying every aspect of the build.
Des.
Des, I have the Copper State and the Flashback 1/48 scale Taubes and was a bit scared to start them, as well.  Watching this amazing project progress has taken away all (well, most) trepidation.  Thank you so much for blazing the trail so brilliantly.
Cheers,
Bud

The tail end rigging is now completed, not as hard as I first thought it would be. The biggest issues were the eight lines running to the elevator, as each line was tensioned the two either side slackened, so it was a matter of continuing to tension until all lines were equally taut, time consuming but not difficult. As can be seen, there is a turnbuckle on each line, the small triangle where all the cables join was made from two pieces of thin brass sheet, the lines were sandwiched between the two plates and super glued.

Simply awesome Des. Your rigging looks immaculate as always. The profile view is the one that caused my jaw to drop as it gives me a glimpse of how difficult it must have been to get everything squared up and properly tensioned. A mere mortal like me would never even consider attempting anything so demanding. I tip my hat to you . . . again!  ;D

Cheers,

Chris

Des your passion and dedication for your hobby really shows in your work there would only be a handful of people on this planet who can achieve this level of detail at this scale and all from scratch, amazing work, what more can be said!

Thank you very much for all the lovely comments, they are much appreciated.

I have a small update. I made the first radiator which I have already mounted on the left side of the fuselage, I used 0.4mm brass coated copper wire for the radiator core, this was purchased from a craft/beading shop. I will spend today making the other radiator.

Des.
