The cockpit and fuselage framing looks spectacular now that it is paint and the extras added, you have used excellent colours for the wood tones.

I am duly impressed with your skill on the PE! Lovely wood colors and all of the rigging seems straight and in tact!

Thanks All of You!
BTW. I am following PrzemoL's SPAD 7 in 32 thread from thearerodrome, so it might be helpful for everybody
Hi there!
For info the cockpit opening shouldn't be symetric.
Could you pls explain what should I be afraid of in the cockpit area. Thanks in advance!
regards
K

Hi!
Wonderful work on that framing!
What I meant is the cockpit opening is slyghtly larger on one side (the side where trhe gun is I think). I'm at work for the moment but tomorrow I'll try to find you some pics of the modification I made on my own.
Ciao

The cockpit looks simply awesome! Even though it won`t be much visible - you still have the pics to remind you how detailed it is...
Are you going to use the kit`s roundels then? In my kit the colours are somewhat strange - especially the shade of green.
Keep up the good work Krzysiek!
Best regards
Filip

Hello,
I was wondering how to implement the radiator shutter to be more likely with the pic from windsock datafile. I have decided to and additional ring to keep the space between those two parts, which more or less allows me to open the shutters.

Well, mission was somehow accomplished but little amendments are required

 K,
Your skill and craftsmanship never fail to impress my old friend. You truly are a P.E Wizard ! The radiator with the addition of open shutters is really quite an improvement, well done. How difficult was it to get the P.E lower cowl parts down so well? Looking forward to more.

Thanks a lot but it not seems so perfect as it should be..still it is constant battle with PE&plastic
Lower cowl was not measured properly by Part, so first had to adjust PE with topping file and then use some two-component glue to level out the layer. Not so easy to achieve..
I have built up sth which is more likely the aeroplane and going to work out the landing gear now.

some additional details

Beautiful job Krzysiek! The radiator and the shutters look extremely well. I think I`ll buy the Part PE set for my SPAD too. Keep up the good work!

Started to work on central struts the same way of doing as PrzemoL did. First joined them with piece of metal and then started to drill holes for hooks. These are the smallest I could have performed and adjust in the holes.

in the meantime did some wings post-shading, first with powders and oil paint at last

Just now I found on your topic.
I really like how you handled with PE.
Painting wood came out great.
I will follow your progress, because when I will finish the Fokker I have a plan to begin Spad VII 1:32 scale from Roden.
It will be in the service of the Belgian.
I also have already purchased PE, also from PART.

Adam.
