@ The Red Baron: I got the modelkasten rigging line from Hobbylink Japan. It is my rpreffered rigging material and far superior to EZ line and/or fishing line. It is elastic, but not much really and adds some structural strenght to the constructions.
It comes in two diameters 1.5mm and 0.6mm.

@Lance: Excellent looking tail boom :) Soon to be finished

Thanks SsashoO, the end is in sight, lot's left to do but I can see the finished Build at last!

Justin,
I used Hobby Link Japan as well; I've also seen it on the Sprue Brothers Site on occasion, but more expensive. The two grades they have at Hobby Link are labelled 1:32, 0.2mm diameter, and 1:48, 0.13mm diameter. (Don't get confused with the Modelkasten metal rigging wire thread)  I use the 1:48 size for my 1:32 Kits. I seem to recall Des mentioning a source at an LHS in Australia but I can't find it........
Cheers,
Lance

You have done an excellent job with the tail booms and the rigging Lance, your choice of rigging materials was very wise.

Modelkasten 0.13mm elastic rigging line is stocked by www.bnamodelworld.com in Victoria, this is where I purchase most of my modeling supplies.. around $30AUD per reel.

Thank you for commenting Des. Modelkasten and EZ Line are both very good products.
bna Model World looks like a great place to shop, I wish we had a similar size one in Canada. Shipping and currency exchange rates are literally killing me of late! Any given item ordered on line from the US is virtually double the sticker price once postage and exchange are factored in. I ordered a reel of my preferred monofilament last month at $11.99 U.S. and the order came to over $30 CAD! :'(

Lance

Thanks guys. Lance, I feel your pain. The only 'up-side', if there is one, is that Wingnuts kits are suddenly quite a good commodity in the local second-hand market - if you are selling.

 Justin,
I`m not at all a seller, I buy strictly what I want to build. I have more then enough in my Stash to happily fill all my remaining model building days but, like most of us, will add more must haves to the trove. This Fee is a good example, as soon as I started the Build I ordered the Early Version as I felt a Late on it`s own would leave a gap. Time will tell whether or not that was a practical move on my part! In the interim the economic woes we are experiencing will hopefully be resolved soon and we can all go back to a more stable existence! I think, with rare exceptions, we`ve all cooled our jets a little bit on the expenditure side.
Cheers,
Lance

Nice update. I am not sure I would have dared rigging the tail before attaching it to the wings. Well done.

The tail rigging is perfect! I don't think I will have the courage to rig before assembly when I do a DH2. Looking great all around Lance!

Thanks for commenting Stefan and Rick. FWIW I did the rigging of the lattice Tail on the DH.2 after installing it. Both approaches seemed to work equally well. In this case I thought it would greatly simplify the operation as the Fee is so much larger then the DH.2 and I have to work with it just sitting on the desk surface. I'm definitely going to look into that Magic Third hand product.......

Thanks for looking and commenting, Gary. It's occurred to me that it may be labeled as the "Late" version because it's taking me so long to complete it! ;)

Thanks Martin, I'm almost finished now, it's been a lot of rigging, some of it twice!

Twice, a) due to having done something wrong and having to redo the wiring, or twice, b) due to the RFC double wires?

If b), then I would really love to see some closeups, please (of the wiring and its' attachments, that is).

Stefan,
Actually the answer is "twice, c) due to breaking a previously completed wire while installing the next in the sequence!"
I'll include a photo or two of the attachments in my next update.

Lance

Incredable Lance. Just WOW. Will you bring this to the contest this year? Do you know when the contest is and where? I'd love to see her in person.
