fokker Dr.I eduard 1/48 week end édition

Hi all
this is my first build on this forum
I take a fokker Dr.I eduard 1/48 week end édition but I think it will be more than a week end to build it

oh my god I don't think that this plane was so small at quarter scale( my poor eyes )

this is the box

inside a little sheet to make harness (thank eduard he put two sets in the box)

ok I want to build this model straight from the box
the only add will be a sheet of decals by pheon decals to make this model

red is not red and white is not white and for me the challenge is to reproduce the differents tone of these two colors

I follow the notice and start by the fuselage with an old wooden décals(I don't remember the manufacturer)

after the cockpit is ready

Nice work on the cockpit! I think the paper belts look nicer than the PE ones I used in my OLD build.

today I will began the paint of the wings

Hi a little update
I've painted the wings in red
at first I sprayed tamiya xf 7 misc with  a few drops of yellow

after I've masked all the couples

then I spray along the mask tamiya XF7 misc  with  a few drops of black

then  I spray  tamiya xf7 on the model and I take off the masks

for finish  before decallingI spray some coats of klir misc with a few drop of carmin ink

here is the result

I think to use the same method fot the blue on the lower wing

I just want your opinion to know if the red seems good

I use also this méthod to paint the fuselage

Nice and subtle shading -I'm saving the red with some black tip for my 1/72 Jasta Raben models. I had intended to pre-shade the shading (what's in a word...), but this seems to be somewhat easier to control.
