Doing a wonderful job there Lance.

A kit I've hovered over purchasing many times.

Keith,
Bit of a challenge as a Kit but in your hands it would be mere putty! Great subject and I've not seen many built. If you do get it let me know if you'd like some unused decals for it!
Cheers,
Lance

Lovely job with the lozenge decals and the fuselage paint work, what colour did did you use for the forward section of the fuselage. Even though it may be time consuming the work to replace the push rods will be well worth it.

Thanks for looking and for your comments, Des and Martin. Des, the front portion of the fuselage is Tamiya X-2 White, two coats at 40 % lacquer thinner airbrushed over Alclad II Dull Aluminum and hairspray for the chipping.
Cheers,
Lance

Nice work again Lance  :) it's going to be a very colourful model once complete. Lovely paintwork and those push rods look so much better too. Keep at it, the time will soon pass  ;)

That is a stunning paint job! Not that it was unexpected  :D Lovely work and lovely scheme! Your wing lozenge and crosses look awesome also!

I really like what you're doing with this one, Lance. The little barrel is not my favourite aircraft, but your super work is helping me to appreciate its appeal!

Best wishes
Nigel

Great!  This is really coming along.  I love the blue, the white markings and the lozenge.  What a cool little machine.

Cheers,

Great to see you changing out the rods on the engine. It's a fiddley job that takes a bit of time, but it improves the look immensely!

Thanks Nigel, Dan, and George. The SSW D.III has always appealed to me, does look like a flying barrel but reminds me of the P-47 Thunderbolt, mean and all business! I'm just getting back to those engine pushrods after finishing the prep work on all the struts and landing gear, as you say George, it's just a little fiddley but should improve the looks quite a bit.
Cheers,
Lance
