She's a beauty Lance and well worth the time and effort you've put into her. She really, really looks the part. In particular, I'm drawn to the under-wing ribbing and the weathering on the engine cowling. You absolutely nailed those features my friend. And then there's the striping which I'm sure I'll be struggling with when it's my time to build her. Yours look excellent. We both had our moments with these Snipes of ours but it sure made for a good time trading e-mails back and forth as we went along. Now that you've committed to doing it again, I'm looking forward to building it myself, especially now that you and MGunns will be along for the ride.

Cheers,

Chris

Just sublime work, Lance!  You have really raised the
bar (again!) with the Snipe and it was an enjoyable
as well as informative build log.  Great work, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Many Thanks, Guys, for your supportive comments.
Chris, another one in future but not before we get those Ni. 17's done!
Moustique, I did use Tamiya tape; this was an experiment using coloured pencils in lieu of pastels or pigment and I won't be doing it that way again. I find the latter method easier to control and more "subtle" so I'll be going back to the old reliable chalk pastels and occasional powdered pigments. I use Q-Tips (Cotton Buds in Europe) to blend and tone down in both methods.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Filip! I was worried that the weathering was a little over done but after all the great feedback I'd guess not.
Cheers,
Lance
