I am guessing that well cost a pretty penny. I am in the meantime thinking of breaking down and getting the AEG before they make the shipping changes. Also it does not look like the Canadian peso will be getting much higher anytime soon.  :'(

I was thinking of scratch building the Caproni CA.3 but now I will wait and see what the HpH kit looks like, I hope it is better detailed than their Macchi M.5. I can imagine that the price will be pretty high but to have a Caproni CA.3 in 1:32 scale will be excellent, it will be huge.

The tiny little Macchi was very expensive, I shudder to think how much a HPH 1/32 Caproni will cost.

Wingnut Wings Felixstowe - undoubtedly a much higher volume seller & in injected plastic - comes in at in excess of £200, so I think a three engined biplane in resin by HPH will cost at least double that.

I'll give it a wide berth - the quality of the Macchi failed to impress me, and the sheer hard work in getting their 1/32 Walrus together dissuaded me further.

Wow - that is one a/c I would really like, but probably will be $600 USD...

For those who are concerned about the size of a 1:32 scale Caproni CA.3 here are the stats,

Wingspan  71.875cm

Length      34.3cm

Not overly huge but big all the same, as a comparison here are the wingspans of three of Wingnuts kits;

Gotha  73cm
AEG     57cm
Felix    91cm

And here are the dimensions for HPH's Macchi:

Wingspan : 37cm

Length : 25cm

So the Ca 3 will be almost twice as wide and nearly half as long again, with three times the number of engines &, crucially, almost three and a half times the surface area of the wings, three times as many tail fins, three times as many wheels, four times as many seats, almost a ton more bombs.

Can't see HPH selling many of these?

A Caproni Ca3 in any scale will be welcome indeed.
