Some progress: striping begun, chevrons added.  I used decals for all of these: an old Americal and a Roden D.VII sheet for the tailplane chevrons, cut down a bit in both cases, white decal sheet for the fuselage chevrons, and black decal sheet for the stripes on 586/17.  Still have to dirty them up a bit.

Drew,
These three are going to be an impressive collection of Udet Tripes when completed! I am looking forward to seeing the stripes appear on the third one!

Long time no post, holidays, work, etc.
The striping is done as are most of the components.  Still more decaling to do and the guns need to be painted, but I'm entering the home stretch.

What a splendid topic!
you'are doing it pretty well last pic shows all the work you did!
I like the way you did the stripping I though it needs more color that just deck tan and olive green.
Can you show the paintbrush you used?
I personnally started three Nieuport too, so it will be quite the same kind of work...
kongratulation anyway.

Awesome Drew! They looked great before but with the markings and crosses they are even better! Just noticed the props and they look terrific, especially in 1/48th scale!
