Under primer , those rib tapes look pretty damn good  :) Is this a decal ? or is something on the lines of thin tape ?
!yes it is. Decals in archer style. but after you put it, you have to take of a film. only the decal stays.
look the result

- Was the kit designed to have the lower wings fit flush against the fuselage? If so, will you have to move the strut attachment points to compensate for moving them both out?
Yes it was. they were two plastic attachment poits I take them off and remplac them by metal attachment...

Nice work on the lower wing attachment! I also like the rib tapes, they look great! I have some Archer tapes in 1/32nd but it looks to me as though I will need at least two sets to do one aircraft. Gets fairly costly.

Truly brilliant work, Xan!  The rib tapes look  fantastic.  I used those on my 1/48 Tripe.  A lot of work, but well worth it.
Cheers,
Bud

Hello !
new update...
I did the engine , a Gnome Lambda 7 cylinders.

in fact, the 1264 have used two engines: Donald change the Gnome for a Le Rhone 9c, more powerful.
i did a gap in the engine ring (?)
It was evidentely to let the oil escape, but all the scout had not this gap:

in the fuselage I did the foot rest, and put the seam (archer), and some photoetched:

and with a little bit of surfacer:

I have to detail the tank, and some other details and we can soon start painting...

Extremely well done all around! Your conversion work on the fuselage, the mounting of the wings, and especially the figure are all outstanding!

Hello everybody!

I'm (slowly) going on...

for the model:
it's not time for peint yet...
I  forgoten the ring attachments, and detailed the fuel tank with archer.

for the fuselage:

and sir Donald is going on too!

it's not ended at all and I have to restart the face...

Fantastic update, Xan!  I really love the detail you've added around the fuel tank and cowling.  The bare framed fuselage is really shaping up beautifully and Sir Donald is looking the business.
Cheers,
Bud
