Progress has been slow . I'm also working on a Spitfire as well but here is an update .

For the wood effect I first sprayed Tamiya wooden deck tan with just the edges sprayed with Tamiya Linoleum deck brown . Once dried I then used Tamiya red brown for the grain effect over coat with Tamiya clear orange . Instrument panel got the same treatment . The brezels are from let over Tom's modelworks PE . I didn't feel like paint this detail . Would have gotten brass paint all over the place . The seat was done in the same manner using Tamiya paints with a few less coats of the clear orange . Seat belts have a coat of Tamiya Buff waiting for the weathering . Rudder bar and control column are coated with Vallejo Black . The engine is hand painted using Testors metalizer . This dried up years ago , but with a little lacquer thinner I can use it for dry brushing metal coats .
