WNW Roland DVIa

Next up on my workbench is the WNW Roland DVIa.  I will be using the new cookie cutter lozenge from Aviattic and Gaspatch machine guns.  I will be portraying Jungwirth's blue Roland with the speculative butterfly on the fuselage sides.

There is much speculation on the coloring of this Roland based on the one photograph in the WNW instructions and the Jack Herris book.  I am going to use the lozenge on the undersides of the wings in lieu of the possible light blue coloring.

Haven't posted in a while but still have been plugging away...lower wing covered with Aviattic lozenge and fitted temporarily and fuselage base coated in blue.  I will be adding washes of W&N Indigo oil paint to pop the details and then give it a bit of weathering.

Haven't had a lot of free time for modeling as of late but I did manage to work on fitting the GasPatch Spandau guns to my Roland.  Just a bit of trimming away some resin and the guns seated right in place.  GasPatch has done a first rate job with their machine guns.
