It would be very informative to see your photo labeled with the specific color combination for each chip shown, if that's possible.

Sure that's possible George, i will add some photo's in my next post to explain some of the colors i've done.

Now that's a very nice compliment Alain, thank you.
It's just a matter of planning, and searching for the right color choice, and with some sort of a color chart, thing's get much easyier.

To give some more information regarding the color chart i made, i will add some more photo's to explain wich colors where used.

First, the color chart, using 2 base colors (XF-78 and XF-59) and 4 oil colors ( Transparant oxide yellow, Burnt umber, Raw umber and Van Dycke brow)

1). two base colors XF-59 and XF-78 and oil color Transparant oxide yellow.

2). two base colors XF-59 and XF-78 and oil color Burnt Umber.

3). two base colors XF-59 and XF-78 and oil color Raw Umber.

4). two base colors XF-59 and XF-78 and oil color Van Dycke brown

Like you see, this will give you in total 8 different wood-grain colors.

Hello Danny!!!

That is great looking woodgrain!!! And I love your system on the table... I should definitely take it as a learning example for my workbench and put it in some order. Loving your work!!!

Good grief Danny, your paint chart looks better than any
woodgrain I've ever done!  It is a great resource for the
rest of us.  Thanks for sharing it!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Great colour samples Danny; I am really impressed with your "wood grain effect" on all of them......best I've seen here. Like your finished models this is inspired and beautifully executed work!
Cheers,
Lance

Today i taped the wing spars and rib tapes. I will go for a 3D effect, rib takes and wing spars in different color to simulate a translucent effect in dept.

Not much progress, but glad it's done
