Hi Terri,
I don't know if you read Vladimir Sulc in the latest Eduard newsletter, on their (old) SSW:
"At that Chicago show, a distinguished
looking gentleman
visited our booth and asked if
we were responsible for that
Siemens kit. I replied ‘Yes, sir,
that kit was produced by my
company.’ He answered that
‘In that case, you should be
thoroughly embarrassed by
your efforts. I have never held
anything so bad in my hands before. The thing
can’t be built! If you want your work to support
you, then do your work properly!. Then he
left. And he left me speechless. It’s how it is, in
those situations. At first, I felt insulted, and then
I tried to analyze his words. I kept going over
it in my mind and slowly began to reach the
opinion that he was right. For all the accolades
and pats on the back, the kit really was an
unbuildable embarrassment, and it was time
for a change."
says it all. Very well done turning that "unbuildable embarassment" into such a fine model.
Cheers,
Tony.
