SE5a Finished
« on: October 16, 2014, 08:31:09 PM »
Hi All,

Was away from this forum for a while due to lack of time. But back now  ;) and was, at last, able to finish this one.
Wingnut wings SE5a. the figurines are from Kellerkind.
I'll post some better pictures later on tonight

Best regards

Flip

Welcome back Flip, and what a way to make a come-back, the SE.5a is immaculate with a superb finish, the weathering is extremely well done and the rigging is brilliant, and to top it all off you have done an excellent job painting the figure, congratulation and I look forward to seeing more photos.

Nicely done, the figures and base set the model off well.

What paint colour / mix did you use for the PC10

Wow, that weathered and beaten finish that you have achieved is fantastic! I am finishing up a Se5a now and have done much the same thing but yours surpasses mine in every way. Super, super job.

Wow, you've hit the heights with this one! Gorgeous finish, excellent figure painting too
(I have to say that, I used those same Kellerkind figures for my own Roden SE5 - though not to your high standard!)
Yes, please do post more pictures if you can!

Your SE5a model is fantastic - great display base and figures, too.

WOW, Very well done! Beautiful SE! I love the vignette! Martins figures always have great character and you have certainly painted them well!

This is wonderful in so many ways, Flip. Superb attention to detail and the painting is truly inspirational. You have a great eye and truly deft touch with both air brush and sable brush.

May I ask about the rigging....did you use any after market supplies or are they all of your own making? I'm about to do my first serious rigging job and am polling the crowd.

If I needed any more of a nudge to get me to the bench this weekend this was it.

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

That is a really impressive build - one to be truly proud of. The figure with the dog really brings it to life. Outstanding.

Great comeback. Can't wait to see more pictures.
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster
