this is my favorite of Udet's Albatros machines.

Mine too. The black and white tail, the Tarnstoff and the wooden fuselage make for a very nice contrast.

The second plane is very great. The third goes to a very beautiful way Drew.

Thanks, everyone!

Closing in on this one.  Rigging is almost done and engine plumbing added.  Just need a couple more lines and then the landing gear.

Hi Drew, really like the Udet Albatros collection.  I did not see your start of these builds on the other forum. What did you use for the decals on the black DVa?  I would like to do one of these for my collection but have been unable to find a set of decals for this one.
Thanks

Thanks, Martin and Dave.

Dave, I made my own decals for the black D.Va from white decal sheet. The chevrons and LO were pretty easy.  For the U. on the lower wing, I had a set of Lifelike decals for the silver D.V.  They had a black U. so I traced that on white decal sheet. FCM had a sheet with markings for the black D.va but they might be OOP.  I made chevrons for the upper wing, as Wingnuts has an option for on their 1/32 sheet.  I never liked the white stripes as this machine is usually depicted, as Udet was using a chevron for his personal markings.

Count me with Rick and the others... that 3rd aircraft is my favorite as well.  Really nice work, Drew.

Thanks again!

Another build that keeps fighting me  >:(  Two rigging lines popped out of the upper wing and I had to pull them and re drill the bottom holes again.  Anyway the landing gear is on and hopefully I can finish pretty quickly now.
