Junker J1 WNW 1/32.

Hello guys,
I started a new model and the challenge is to finish it for the end of the month.
The Engine:
WNW engine is very good but I love scratch... ;)

Yes, a very nice start. But why did you replace the spark plugs with ones from taurus? Are the latter better detailed?

Just wondering at what age you became a Kit-Rookie?
Because it would seem you have grown out of that stage of development and moved on to Kit-Master  ;)

One month time limit? I sure wish I could build them that fast. I'll be watching this with interest as I have some interest in this kit myself.

Hello guys,
Thanks for your kind words. I use Taurus spark plugs because I think one are more accurate but it's a personnal (and subjective  ;D) point of view. I'll try to make pictures. I'm still a "kit rookie" because, when I see the work of some "alien" (especially in scratch section here), I know that "the road is rather long".  ;)
In France, I love Bruno Pautigny's work. His paint is amazing.
For the J1, I use the Windsock datafile and those websites:

I said there is a challenge because I want to be ready for a show on october 5th. This will be a surprise for a friend.

Good evening to all,
For today, paint, weathering and assembly. Fuselage is ready to be glued. J1 is one of the first kit of Wingnut so the adjustements are very tight. Paint, especially oil one, is wide enough to have trouble. I tried (like a friend of mine, a very good painter) to dry the paint with a little hair-dryer... What a bad idea, little pieces of plastic DON'T LIKE heat. Look at the seat for example.  :( :(
Anyway, I never build a kit without mistakes. One day perhaps... ::)

To be a little didactic:
I used Prince August paints for details, oil paints and AK (or Mig) products for weathering, AZ line for cable.

Hello Alain:

We all make mistakes, so don't feel like the lone ranger.  You weathering on the seat is really neat, looks quite convincing, and your wood tones are outstanding.  The radio is pretty slick as well.  I liked the pictures you sent of the J1 in Canada.  Nice to see that together.  You are correct, this was one of the first four that WNW released. 
Looking forward to seeing you progress through the kit.

Mistakes or not, she's looking great so far!  The Junkers never really caught my eye so I have largely ignored this kit; you are starting to change that.
