My pathetic attempt at painting the gauges, (not finished yet).

Bottom of upper wing now almost complete, (still needs edge tapes).

Fuselage halves get lozenge decals, (port side still drying after a liberal dose of Champ solution).

Thanks Greg. I still need to add a bulkhead behind seat, and I can get ready to zip this one up; hopefully this week.

The painstakingly slow process of adding decals continues. This is the lower wing upper surface.

This is very annoying to me,... first sheet of Techmod rib tapes is all used up! It'll be another week or so before I place an order for them.

After all the trouble I had with lost parts, I just discovered a complete Eduard D.VII down in the dungeon. Boy do I feel like a moron!

Thanks Greg. This almost makes me want to resurrect my old Revell 1:28 project.

OK, now that about five applications of Champ solution have forced decals to conform to internal structures, I've lightly sprayed with a buff color to subdue the lozenge. (I'll have to experiment with some other colors for my WNW kit to make it look more realistic, but I probably have a long wait until that's necessary.)

Now that that's out of the way, I've painted internal frame a darker green than I normally use to enhance contrast. Perhaps not technically accurate, but after a clear coat and wash, it might just look pretty cool.

I like the trick on the losenge in the cockpit! It would make sense that it would not be as vivid on both sides of the cloth. I'll have to remember that for future reference also.
