The work/play continues with the prop (not the one I'll use probably), being painted a nice pecan color with oils. Good practice for me anyway.

It's a good looking tone FB, even if you don't use it ;)

I decided to go ahead and build sidewalls "as is", so I've painted gloss gray for decals to follow.

Seat is now all cleaned up and painted, with a cushion made from Premo and lead wire. Not the best job I realize, but I'm calling it OK.

Wheel assemblies and axle wing get the first of a couple of layers of grunge. End result should look decent I think, (I hope).

Thanks,... I like it too. Simulating wood with paint is not one of my strong points, but I'll do the best I can.

I think your wood grain work is looking great. Great job all around.  :)

Coming along very nicely "FB". Really like the results you got with the seat cushion. Too often overlooked IMHO, you captured it very nicely, particularly in a smaller scale then my choice. Woodgrain matches well too, scale effect for 1:48 means a less contrasting "blended " effect which you've got there in spades!

Nice looking model so far. What I like about threads like this is all the handy tips, very useful for a newcomer to WW1 like myself.
