Hello everybody,

I am sorry not to have posted photos from progress recently, unfortunately I experienced a rather busy period with very little time for modelling leave alone for taking photos.

This is what the Nieuport looks like now. I have to admit I am rather disappointed of the result, but this build has turned into a hard struggle and I am sort of happy that it is a sesquiplane looking approximately like a Nie XI.

The only good news is that the rigging method using elastic monofilament could be a way for the future if I find a method to create turnbuckles that are to scale - these ones are brutally thick.

The only things to add are propeller and machine gun, the MG looks like this.

Cheers

Ondra

Exceptionally good work Ondra, it is still hard to believe that this wonderful looking model is in 1:144 scale, well done.

Ondra, I know you're not please (few of us are with our work), but considering the scale, that it is scratch-built, etc. I think it looks great.

Ondra,
Lovely Nieuport! Your build has been great to follow as always with your TINY models!

If this model disappoints you, my mind boggles at what you'd consider satisfactory - this is a wonderful little Bebe! The fact you rigged it, too, is spectacular.

Many thanks for your nice comments, Martin, Des, Warren, Rick and Kiwizac.

Nieuport is finished now, I am not very happy about the result but still there are a few things I like about this build.

The rigging with elastic monofilament from Uschi van der Rosten looks satisfactory and could be the way for the future.

Also I am satisfied with the machine gun and the propeller - it looks rather red on the photo, actually it looks like mahagony.

All in all, the quality is lower in comparison with e. g. the Brandenburg D.I I built before. Nevertheless, another finished build in the showcase (nr. 15) and time to start on a new one hoping for a better result.

Many thanks to all of you for your support and advices during the build.

Cheers

Ondra

Beautiful work Ondra! It still amazes me that you get so much into such a SMALL Model!
