Ok, another attempt on the black lines, not perfect but better than the previous one.

I will give it a chance and see what it looks like after some weathering.

Much improved over the previous attempts! I still can't imagine trying to paint those outlines in 1/144th!

I don't know how you did it, Ondra, but that looks great. You are working in a scale that most would and could not get anywhere near these results. Great work and a real tribute to your persistence!
Cheers,
Lance

You have achieved remarkable results in such a small scale, very well done.

Many thanks to all for looking in and for your comments! ;)

For the black outlines I would like to try one more method (very similar to the one Terri suggested). I bought the Alteco Paint Marker, will see how this works out.

While waiting for the paints to dry, I made a slight progress on the V struts.

Ok, this is what the main parts look like now. The Alteco Paint Marker is quite handy for the wings outlines.

For the outlines on the fuselage I had to use thin stripes of self-adhesive aluminium foil painted with black surfacer

Some corrections will be necessary, but all in all I find it acceptable.

And I started working on the base.

Beautiful! I really have to stop and think about how small this Nieuport is every time you do an update!

Many thanks, Martin and Rick, for you encouraging comments.

I am still playing around with the black lines, it is a never ending story. :)

Meanwhile I made a new machine gun, a few details still missing but so far I like it.

Cheers

You have achieved amazing results with the black lines, they really look the part, I still shake my head everytime I look at this model and find it incredible that you can work on a model so small.
