Excellent update, Terri!  Thanks for the rudder painting tip...good idea.
Very nice preshading with the Smoke.  Do you thin it at all for that?

Thanks a lot guys for the comments , very much appreciated 

I ran into a bit of a dilemma . The decals for the wings are transparent and I thought they were printed on white film so I didn't per-shade the ribs . So now I have to go back and do the per-shading on the wing ribs 

I'm open to suggestions ...


Ernie , yes I thin the smoke with either Tamiya thinner or I will use their lacquer thinner . I use more of the lacquer thinner then their acrylic thinner . It breaks down the paint particles better and will atomize better as well resulting in a really smooth finish .

Bit of more progress made . I per-shaded the wings and still need to finishing the clear coating for the decals . Guns are weathered minus the padding , which still awaits it's leather tones . I also forgot to show you the under side of the fuselage shading .
Prop , well I have mixed feelings about the decals for the laminations , they are -very plain looking and will redo the prop .
