thank you very much for the goggles advices :) I really appreciate those and will follow them!
Meanwhile I was working on the fuselage stains, mainly on the two sides, but will continue with the upper and lower sides asap. I just lack pictures of Immelman's aircraft top and bottom. If someone can help it would be great, if not, I will use the so called "artistic license" :)
Any comments and recommendations ar emor ethan welcome!

Best regards,
SAsho

Can't help with the photo's SsashoO , but I can say what you have done with the weathering really looks the part . Hard to tell though the picture is very dark . Do you have another light source to high light your excellent work ?

You are absolutely right Terri,

The pic is too dark, I should have increased the ISO and used dark background. The picture was taken in daylight around 14:00 on my terrace, so it is not the amount of light but the settings of the camera

I will take new ones tomorrow and post, together with the some archive photos

Best regards,
Sasho

Yes, the pictures are dark, but no matter - the thing looks excellent.  :o
Excellent weathering, in the right place and in the correct relationship to the original.
Really great work Sasho!!!

By the way, be careful when you turn back the Gate-Visor of the gun.  ;)

Thank you for the nice comment Bertl, I'm trying to work according to the pictures, but the lack of any painter's skills makes the things ahrder or not as close to the original as I would liked. Maybe I overdid the weathering, so I will add some of the main colour to the next layer of varnish to decrease the effect a little bit.
I also worked on the engine cowling, but still I haven't finished repairing the spandau's. I actually haven't started repairing them :)
Here are the pictures, any comments or recommendations are most welcomed.
Contrary tot he sides, the belly seems to need more weathering, but I'm not quite sure where and how much, so for now it stays the way it is. A bit of advice for this will be most appreciated

best regards,
Sasho

Hello Ssashoo:

The finish is outstanding in my estimation.  I think you nailed the oil staining quite well.  I am looking forward to your next update.

Best

From the photos it appears the oil staining on the lower fuselage sides have seeped up from underneath, so I would consider applying more staining to the bottom of the fuselage than you now have. My understanding is that the E types stained quickly and extensively. I believe you have captured the side staining superbly.

The Staining looks beautiful to my eyes! A little more on the lower Longeron , perhaps, but beware as you could take this beauty from a tastefully weathered beauty to an overdone relic.
