Very nice indeed Squiffy. I still can't figure out how you build them so quickly!

Squiffy is back. Excilent work. She looks very nice in lozenge.
The process meters...  therefore so much models are stuck between start and finish

Really nice Gotha! You would give Lord Beaverbrook a run for his money with your prolific building!

did you put small motors in the engine compartments or did you just flick the props and snap? whatever the case this model looks great, and i understand your love for aviattic lozenge, its the best.

I drilled out the prop centres and sleeved them with brass tube. They are then held in by dressmaking pins, that are glued into the engine nacelles. This makes a low-friction bearing so the props can be blown round by pointing a fan at them.

Gorgeous work on the Gotha, Squiffy.  I really like the Tripes as
well.  Keep 'em coming, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

  Squiffy,
Outstanding collection my friend. Your skills and craftsmanship really shine. Love those beautiful Bombers all but especially the Gotha's.

Thanks again, chaps.

My latest effort is somewhat simpler. I love these old Revell kits. They are so cheap to buy but provide a week of entertainment.

This one has been slightly altered from out of the box and has a Roden engine and exhaust, remodelled rudder, home-made cross decals, and Aviattic lozenge. It represents the kite of Paul Strahle of Jasta 57.

Airfix Roland C.II. Not the kit-specified paint job and with improved wheels, engine, and armament courtesy of Roden spare parts from various other kits.

Squiffy,
I love what you did with the Albatros! You certainly made that old kit look awesome! Your Roland also looks remarkable! Lovely paint work and decals

Thanks.  :D Would you believe the decals are the kit originals (apart from the cross on the top of the fuselage) and must be well over 40 years old but still worked perfectly!

Squiffy,

You have completely outrun me again! I have missed the Gotha, Albatros and now the Roland!!. All three are really good, especially the Revell Albatros which you have performed a minor miracle on to get such a good result. The Roland is extremely feel done too - when one considers the age of these kits you have displayed real skill in turning them into really good models.

What an airfield you have!!

Awesome Harry Tate, Squiffy! That third photo where you're holding the wing tip looks like a real plane in the sky! If it wasn't for your hand and the fact that there's no pilot, it would have fooled me! :D
