Thanks for the kind comments.  :)

As I've been working on a German diorama I have been building German crates. The latest is a Pfalz D.XII from Eastern Express.
The struts are quite fragile and I managed to break 3 of them but only one is really noticeable. There is no interior on this one as I intend to fit a pilot.

Thanks, chaps.

Here are the results of my Triplane production line http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=5740.0 . One semi rebuild/paint and two new builds. All Revell kits (is there any other in 1/72?).

N500.

N5493 Blymp, as flown by Australian ace Robert A Little, who achieved 20 victories with this machine whilst flying with 8 Naval Squadron.

Just a little oil staining.

N5492 Black Maria, as flown by Canadian Raymond Collishaw, who achieved 23 victories with this machine whilst flying with 10 Naval Squadron.

I was going to do this as N533, a two-gun Tripe, but that would have meant having C lettering on fuselage and starboard tailplane - lettering that I don't have, so the kit decals were used and it stayed as N5492

Those Revell kits are old and they show it sometimes. On this occasion however your skill has more than made up for the deficiencies of the kit - a lovely little trio.

BTW I missed your Pfalz earlier - I was away when it was posted. That is a lovely build too. Quite an airforce you have there now!

Stephen.

Excellent work!

Regarding the lettering, I use Woodland Scenics' dry transfers, found at most model railroad hobby shops, for custom wing lettering and serial numbers. Application is easy and once a clear coat is added afterward, very durable.

Best regards,

John

Thanks, chaps. I am getting slower but better. Work and other things (not to mention several miles of rib tapes!) have meant that it's been a month in the building but now my BAT Project Gotha GL.VII is completed. I didn't document the build on the forum as I've come to realise that I'm pretty hopeless in keeping up with posting progress and my builds aren't exactly revolutionary in what I do. Nevertheless, here it is, resplendent in its replacement Aviatik lozenge:

Very nicely done Squiffy, the Gotha looks excellent and the action shot with the propellers rotating is really impressive, your aerodrome is filling up nicely.
