Camel Trainer - Roden 1/72
« on: May 24, 2014, 09:11:41 PM »
Hi

This is one of my older kits. I don't like Sopwith Camel, for me it is far from beauty;-) but there are two exeptions: Camel Trainer and Camel/Comic night fighter. Here I want to show my Trainer (building night fighter is in my plans for future). This Roden kit is one step ahead from their previous kits. Its quality is much better than for example Albatros or Fokker E.V. While building it I did not know much about making rigging in 1/72 models (much more difficult than in 1/33), so I was trying many techniques. Unfortunatley it didn't have good influence on appearence of this model. Good thing is that thanks to this I learned much.

Poitr,
Nicely done model of a very unique subject. The rigging looks fine to me; remember it's 1:72 Scale and few details of the rigging should be visible in this small scale.
Cheers,
Lance

Another little gem. As Lance has said few of the rigging details are visible in this scale - you rigging looks fine to me.

Very nicely done. I once started one of these in 1/28th scale using the old Revelle kit. Never finished and it certainly wasn't looking as sweet as yours!

Nice. And unusual subject. I do not remember photos of any other Camel trainer built.

Exquisite little model, Piotr.  The rigging looks great to me...really
well done, especially in the teeny scale.  Super job on an interesting
variant.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
