First one I've seen finished by a modeler.  Well done, Graham!

Like others have said, the paint scheme is nice and different.  I like the lines on top so the observer doesn't shoot himself down...

Now I just need to save some $$ to get me one of those beauties!  Thanks for posting.

Hi,

thanks to all.

On the camouflage scheme, the only thing that deviates from WNW's suggestions of bleached linen for wings, blue-dyed or blue-tinted-dope lower wing surfaces (both in my case - tinted dope for cross panels) and unbleached CDL fuselage/yellow-beige metalwork, is the blue-tinted dope for the fuselage undersides. After seeing the Roland factory shot of two-toned CIIa fuselages I looked for this on the earlier C.II and can see, albeit faintly, a similar thing on several photos. The Schleich airframe is a somewhat modified/reconditioned version. Ray Rimell will be writing about these Roland schemes in a forthcoming Windsock I believe.

Cheers,

GrahamB

P.S. Will do a Pheon/WNW Albatros combination next (D.2140/Scheffer FEA 6) before tackling the Hannover.

Graham, I love the Roland C.II a LOT ans am pleased with your rendering of a Walfisch! I'll surely be following your Albatros, but am most eagerly waiting for you, tackling the Hannover, which I Love dearly too, since I was a boy! Rchard

This is what I am actually working on.  ::) It will be interesting to compare your build to mine...

Graham,
Absolutely beautifully done all around! The interpretation of the scheme is brilliant!

Very nice and interesting version of C.II colours. Congratulations on building the first of these in our forum!

Yours Roland looks great.
Thank you for the tips, I'm planning to buy WNW Rolland C.IIa in the next year. I think yours tips will be very useful for me.
