Outstanding paint and decal work.
Cheers,
Bud

Ditto my Amigo's comments, a scheme I have always liked.

It's amazing how the look of the model really improves with a splash of colour and decals in place.

Lovely work

Thanks everyone. Your comments and support are really appreciated and are helping me to forge ahead. If only the bod would cooperate I'd get to the bench more. I hope to have some more to show you soon though.

Haven't been able to build much lately. So a small update. I have some touch ups to do so those places that look off will be repainted soon I hope.  Looking at the pics maybe I shouldn't post yet, but I do want to show a small amount of progress.

Your paint scheme is really looking good, James.  I like the blue/green
combination.  I will look amazing when you are done.  Thanks for
the update...it's nice to see your progress. :)

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Beautifully done! It looks like you have achieved an excellent fit on the cowl panels!

Pkay another small update. Trimmed the bottom wing and did the top decals for it. It looks like I somehow misaligned something. Not much I can do, it will have to stay like this. I used a new scalpel blade and it trimmed up really nice.

Tomorrow I will trim the top decals and then start the top wing. Time to stop dilly dallying around with the engine and finish it so I can paint the fuse.

James

For trimming decals i dont use a knive one slip or not sharp enough and it can wreck your work!

Instead i use sanding paper very fine grid 1000 lightly sand 90 degrees on the edge and it comes off by itself later i touch up with mixed paint to smooth out the edge.
A sanding sponge is also very handy with this.

Thanks guys. Anothe rlittle update. Again didnt get the bench time I wanted, but it is progress. I think the dullcoat really ties the colours in nicely. Rigging on the tail and some engine stuff to go next.

I think I will have to play with the exhaust a bit ore.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Looking sharper every update James, and the colours are really starting to grow on me. Stay the course, this one's going to be an absolute winner!
