I agree the woodgrain is absolutely briliant! I have my doubts concerning this pale blue - of course pictures colours differ from reality but I remember the D.VI fuselage in Kraków museum and hatches and other parts look more pale green gray...I have been there a long time ago though...

Thank's Phillip, and yes, you're doubt is absolutly in place regarding the pale blue color. i took the liberty to use another color as stated in the WNW manual. Tough it's not the correct one, the pale blue give's me a good feeling about the color choice.....but.......the spinner, and other stuff like, landing-gear strut's, cabane's and wing strut's will be in the pale green (Tamiya XF-76) color, and i'm afraid that will give to much contrast between the two color's.
Maybe i will repaint the hatches into the right color as provided in the WNW manual.

Hi guy's,

i'm back with some progress. Previous, i painted the hatches of the fuselage in a pale blue color, on it's own, it is not a bad color, but when i compared it with the Tamiya XF-76 color it was to much difference.
I needed a more suitable color so i repainted the hatches in US grey light.



Decals are placed onto the fuselage, and the Spandau machineguns are also glued on theire place.

This is the fuselage after decal placement, but still with the previous color on the hatches.

Detail of the machineguns. I used the Master brass barrel set.

Hello Danny and welcome back.

The repainted hatches look great, although I thought they looked the part before, but; they still look great.  The guns turned out perfect.  Nicely detailed and the brass barrels add that extra touch.  What I really noticed though was the engine.  Wow!  That really stands out; you did outstanding work on the engine and that will certainly enhance the already outstanding work  you are doing on this model.  Looking forward to the next update.
