Hello Dr. Dave:

I really like this aircraft.  I built one and it was a fun build.  No challenges.  Looking forward to seeing your build and the chosen scheme.

And we're off!

I will be painting this blue but would like  to see lozenge through it. Exhaust is alclad burnt iron, copper, steel and exhaust manifold shades.

Prop is raw sienna over sail colour with tamiya clear orange. Boss is painted in alclad steel

Tamiya hull red futured, with alclad steel for fittings. It.matches the WNW lozenge brown

And the undersurface is gunze sail as base colour.

Bit dark in the office. More in the daylight when I get chance. The seat is not bad, done in burnt sienna water based oil over brown acrylic then wiped off to simulate leather.

Looking really good so far Dave, the colours all seem right to me, I like the dark seat leather.

Good start, Dave.  I really like your propeller and exhaust manifold colours...both
to me look spot-on.  Excellent work on the steel fittings.  Did you just slice the lozenge
to expose the circular fittings, or was there a different way?  Nicely done, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

This is the WNW lozenge, so it's pre cut Ernie.

Great start Dave. The exhaust is as good as they get and you've done a magnificent job on the prop. Another one I have on hold in the Stash, I'll be following closely.
Cheers,
Lance
