Eduard Pfalz D.IIIa, double strike
« on: March 06, 2014, 08:30:50 PM »
Hello,

This time I have decided to proceed with double strike of one the most beautiful aero plane ever created in WWI period.
I have seen a lot of WNW kits on forum so this thread will be a little bit different.
First one and most expected should be green-tailed Jasta 5 and second one Degelow black one, will see how my assumption will be located in the future.
As far as I am concerned there in only one picture of red Jasta 5 Pfalz D.III in the Jagdstaffel 5 special datafile from Albatros publications, which I do not possess for time being but I am going to get one >:(
So up to now I have done engines:

decided to upgrade the engine bay:

As there is no agreement how the interior looked like I have decided to use silbergrau for one and leave plain wood in the second one
Here we have some steps to do so:

some updates soon

Great start, Krzysiek.  The engines are superb. Your detailing work on them is amazing.
Your talent is obvious.  I will enjoy following your build.  Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

What a harvest of Pfalz D.IIIs at our forum!!!! Almost makes me want to build one, once more!
This will be a yet one more thread to follow. Great start, Krzysiek. Your Ed's 48th scale is not too far from what WNW offers in 32nd! Great modelling, I am impatiently looking forward to see more.

Nice start. If there's one thing I like more than a Pfalz it's two Pfalzs.  :)

Beautiful start, Krzysiek. Hard to believe the title isn't WNW 1:32 Scale. Looking forward to more great DIIIa's here.
Cheers,
Lance

i really like how you upgraded the eduard engine with springs and spark plugs, very nice. as far as interior colors of pfalz aircraft i think mostly it is believed to be a light grey/green painted.

...you are too flattering…it is long, long way from my 48 to 32..
ok. and first parts of fuselage are ready to merge, only dashboard should be assembled as well. As you see the engine is too small and was incorrectly measured by manufacturer

this is where I am right now..

Thanks for support :)

in the meantime,  the fuselage interiors are done. Now the wings require some attention..
