Great little Tripes, Modelnut.  I really like the Yellow wing version.  Good work!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Gentlemen, I have no idea how I missed all of these gems, but I did and I'm sorry.  To all of you, outstanding work.  Although the Dr.I is probably my least favorite WWI subject (sorry, Steve), I felt pressured to build one back in my first year back at the hobby.  This is the old DML kit, not too bad for it's age, and chosen because it came in a really big box and I wanted to make room for kits I really wanted.  Steinhauser's (sp?) markings from Blue Rider.  The stickers have cracked a bit since then.
Well, here goes...

Cheers,
Bud
P.S.- I used the Microsculpt streaking decals, so I sorta cheated, I suppose.

Beautiful Tripe Bud, and a colour scheme I'd like to do someday. Nice addition to the "pack" here and great work on a not so great Kit.
Cheers,
Lance

Streaking decals or not, this is a little beauty, Bud.

Best wishes

Thanks so much Nigel and Rick, but I think you would feel differently if you saw her in person.
Cheers,

Well, I don't know how this has happened but I have missed this thread completely, sorry for my ignorance for not replying to all of these brilliant models, they are outstanding examples of the Fokker DR.1, well done to everyone who has posted photos.

Even if you aren't a Dr.I fan Bud, she's a little jewel!  I like very much the
colour scheme.  The microsculpt streaky decals do look good as well.  Great
job, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thank you, Des and Ernie!  Des, don't feel bad, mate.  I missed this whole thread, myself.  Ernie, I really like the Microsculpt streaking, as well, but on my next streaked scheme, I'll probably do it with oils just so I can feel like a real modeler.
Cheers,
Bud

Hi Bud,

For an aircraft you don't like so much, it is a real beauty and you made a terrific build. Like it very much and it shows once again your high craftmanship. Congratulations!

Kind regards
Patrick

Bud, no need to apologize for not liking the tripe. Thats why there's chocolate and vanilla!! For a machine you dont really warm up to you did a splendid job on it. Using decal streaking is as much being a real modeller as painting in my books. It has its own set of challenges.
