This is the 1/8 Hasegawa Fokker Dr.I.....so much wrong with the kit. Inaccuracies, omissions, lack of detail in areas....for example, the wings have about half the parts they should have. Still, it's a fascinating build and I'm enjoying (almost) every minute.....grin. A tip 'O' the hat and many thanks to Ed Boll for providing the inspiration to tackle this...um......thing!  Cheers! --Bob Steinbrunn

Cheers!

I had posted mine in here a few years ago but the pics were hosted on Photobucket and are no longer visible.  So I figured I'd make a fresh post with pics you can actually see!

This is my what got me started on the Great War adventure.  The trusty old DML 1/48 Dr.1 which was a gift from a friend and my first serious WWI model.
Wood prop from Copper State Models.  I think the Spandaus were aftermarket - possibly Tom's Model Works - but I don't remember for sure.  Decals by Eagle Strike.

The Fokker streaking was done using Olive Green artist oil paints over MisterKit acrylic paints.  As this was also the first time I had done anything significant with oils there was some trial and error but in the end, I was pleased with the results and such was my confidence that my next WWI model was the Wingnut LVG!
