Many moons ago (1994). So the old "style"
Built from the old 1:72 revell mould with Aeroclub metal wheels (wrong in the inside side) and propeller and eduard photocut Spandau machine guns. Squadron decals (again wrong, oversized). The well-known Josef Jacobs devil is hand painted. Cockpit made by scrachtbuilt means.

This board is already loaded with beautiful models, and now we get two (year's apart!) renditions of Jacob's little black devil, gotta love it! Really nice models Alphageme and Ken, a pleasure to view.
Cheers,
Lance

Your Jacobs Triplane in 1/72nd is very impressive. Especially considering it is the original old Mold! Thanks for posting!

Well let's not stop Jacobs' models at two - just found some pics of a 1/48 DML one I did back in the 90's!

The first of My three recent DR1 builds: Roden 1/32nd scale kit using the Aviattic PE and cowling. I also used just a few parts from the Part PE set to enhance the interior, Finally the axle wing, wheels, and tail plane were the spares from the Meng kit. Streaking painted using Valejo Acrylics.

The third 1/32nd scale DR1 is what I call My" Mengdenstein" hauser DR1. Wings, fuselage and struts are from Roden. Interior, axle wing, wheels, Machine Guns, Tail Plane, underside forward fuselage panel, cowling, engine, prop and Rudder are from My "Crashed" Meng kit, Werner Steinhauser Jasta 11. Streaking is Oils over an acrylic base,
