DH-4 airliner, Roden's 1/48 kit
« on: January 10, 2014, 12:19:31 PM »
Some time ago I reviewed this kit over on Aeroscale. Now I'm getting a build going.
After a very slow start waiting for the oil paint on the wood grain parts to dry, here's the fuselage buttoned up

The very strange looking passenger compartment top

And sitting posed on the wings. It's not a small model

This will be a build I will keep an eye on, it is an interesting aircraft and I am keen to see how you put it together, have you picked a colour scheme for it yet?

It'll be this one

French blue fuselage and aluminium doped flying surfaces.

G'day, Jessie.

That's looking good, mate.  The blue and allie will be a really eye-catching scheme.

Sorry Dal, I can't be much of a mate. I lack the necessary attributes.

G'day, Jessie.

No attributes needed to be a mate, just shared interests (in this case making a pile of plastic bits look like an aeroplane).  However, if you'd prefer I'll use your name, rather than "mate".

Cheers.

Dal.

Well, you see in most of the Commonwealth a "mate" is a bloke, and I just can't do that no matter how hard I try :) That's the attribute I lack.
