She's a stunner, Amigo!  As I said when you finished her, you did a remarkable job masking and painting this gorgeous scheme.  Makes me want to build another.  It really is one of Roden's best kits.
Cheers,
Bud

Ditto my amigos' comments and well done to the others who have posted pics here!

Beautiful Nieuports Mark.  Wonderful paint work.  Is the blue-striped cowling
painted or a decal?  It looks super!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks Ernie:

If I remember correctly I painted it on, as the Glencoe Decals had a tendency to peel off once applied.  I plan on doing this in 1/32nd.

Mark, I remember your 28 build of the Roden kit and it hasn't lost anything over time! Beautiful work all around! Again I must say how much I like seeing the old Aurora/Glencoe stuff done to a high standard!

Hello Mark,

Wonderful build once again. If you painted the engine cowling, then this is quite an achievement. Great workmanship. I think I will do mine also in the Quinten Roosevelt finish. Many congratulations my friend.

Kind regards
Patrick

Hi Guys:

Just to clear things up a bit, the red and blue stripes on the Aurora/Glencoe kit were painted on, the Blue stripes on the Roden kit for Roosevelts a/c are decal included on the sheet.  Thanks for looking and all of your kind words.

Best

Mark

G'day.

I feel a little hesitant posting my (almost-see below) completed N.28 here.  Rick, Ian and Mark have done beautiful models.  And I'm always gobsmacked at how well Ian, and the other 1/72 builders, do their models.

Anyway, as with Ian's build, mine's of Rickenbacker's "12" (I believe this is Rick's favourite scheme :D ) and it's the Roden 1/32 kit.  I had a lot of fun with this, despite some self-induced problems.  But more importantly, getting this done has raised by confidence levels a great deal.  I'm no longer worried about rigging (I'll probably strip down my Pfalz and re-rig it, using the techniques I've learned) and actually enjoy it.

As you may have noticed, the windscreen is missing and so is the seat cushion.  I don't know where they've escaped to, about the only place I haven't looked is down the sewer pipes.  I can build a seat cushion again very quickly, but I'll need to find a drawing of the windscreen to build another.  Once that's done, I should find the missing items.....

I'm still experimenting with doing the slatted rigging, but I'll leave this model's rigging as is.  That's two completed, two in progress (SPAD 13 and Sopwith Tripe) and 26 more in the stash.

Cheers.  Dal.

What a lovely piece of work Dal. I'm so glad that you persevered. Only the French could have come up with a camouflage scheme as chic as this and doesn't the Nieuport carry it beautifully!

Best wishes
Nigel

Beautiful Nieuport, Dal.  The paint is gorgeous and you have really excelled at
the rigging especially the slatted rigging which is absolutely wonderful.  Well done, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)
