Bleriot XI in 1:32 scale

I have started work on my latest scratch build, this time it will be the 1909 Bleriot XI aeroplane. I started by making the undercarriage/engine support frame, this was done with brasss tube and styrene sheet. I have also made the engine, it is an Anzani three cylinder 25hp engine. A full build log of this model can be found on my website

Yes! Des, I've been looking forward to you starting this one. That Anzani is absolutely brilliant. I can't wait to see you work your magic on my favorite pre-war aeroplane.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks very much for your kind comments, this is an aeroplane I have always wanted to model in 1:32 scale.
I have mounted the engine into the frame, I used 0.7mm wide strips of brass sheet to use as the engine mountings, they hold the engine quite well.

Great job, Des! The engine is super. I'm happy you picked the Bleriot, a favourite
early aeroplane of mine. With your talents, it will be a stunner.
I'll enjoy following along with your project.
Cheers,
Ernie

Incredible - I thought that your engine for the Spinne was amazing - this one is equally so. I am certain that this is going to be another of your fantastic builds - I will be watching very closely indeed.

Excellent choice of subject Des, I'm looking forward to watching this one develop - especially to compare your methods to my 1:72 effort!
