Maybe the lower rear "struts" under the tailplane were also in fact double cables? I noticed WNW left them off of the test shot model, which I suppose means it is optional rigging.

If you do an image search on Salmson 2A2 you'll find an interesting Flickr album of Japanese Otsu drawings, might discover some useful tidbits...

Morning,

Finally got the camo on! I've done my best to estimate the colours - don't know if they're completely right, but I really enjoyed
this bit

Next stage is gloss coat then decals, but I've ordered some 'Miracle Masks' for the roundels & numbers - nothing wrong with the decals - I just wanted to have a go with the masks - maybe to give them a little shading etc - but it may be a couple of weeks before they're here which will stall the build a bit I guess

Just given a nod to rib shading under wing..

Your Salmson is coming along outstandingly my friend. I' m quite impressed with your paintwork on her Five Color Camouflage. What paint did you use? In case your mask don't work out well here's an alternate decal set you may be interested in.

Thanks Gregory, but I've decided to go ahead with the kit decals after all - they look lovely and I don't want to wait for the masks which may end up being no better anyway..

The paints are just plucked from my Vallejo Air stash..
