Hello Dave:

Neat idea and looks the part.  To me it looks a tad overscale, but I like the effect.  I think once buttoned up, it will look terrific.

Best

Just a trial filt anyway, to see if would look anything like
the part, so as they say, watch this space.

Cheers Mark

Hi Dave,

Your instrument panel looks extremely good and I like the wood tone very much. It will become a smashing model.

Kind regards
Patrick

Hello Kong

Belatedly, that's a lovely instrument panel on your Snipe.

One of the things with this great forum is that it keeps challenging my assumptions and pre-conceptions. I had decided in the grand scale of things that maybe I would give the Snipe a miss. You may be about to change my mind.

Best wishes
Nigel

Great idea on the Squashed sprue! I once went as far as sanding sprue to an airfoil and then stretching. Only worked for very small runs :-\

PS: Never had any luck stretching the pre made Airfoil strips 0f plastic  :'(

Thanks lads . . .I scaled the interior aerfoil bracing and it comes
out at about 0.2mm, and I think it wouldnt be a sin to have it at 0.3mm
just to see it, so I am going for it.

Have a great weekend my good friends  ;)

Its sunny here in NZ

Dave,
I just re-read this Thread, I think I made the wrong assumption on your bracing wires as it appears you've used "squashed sprues"? I had taken them as small runs of the RB Productions wire.............  gave me the idea to try to use it for the same purpose. Either way she's looking like another great Build!
Cheers,
Lance

I tend to try and make my own than buy it Lance.
If push comes to shove, then I would. I like the wee
challenge of trying. It doesnt always work, but it a bit
of fun . . . Have a good one Lance, good to hear from you

Dave

ps  LOVE the triplane . . . Excellent work

Wee update, started on the cockpit sides and all
the little bits attached. This one is fiddly but all
is good. Hope you all had a good weekend.

All the best

Looking really good Dave, I also found the cockpit interior a little fiddly to work with but it all works out in the end, looking forward to your next update.

Hi Dave,
beautiful progress on the cockpit. The different tones on the woodgrain are a nice detail. Looking forward.
Kind regards,
