nungesser's nieuport roden 1/32
« on: October 29, 2013, 10:14:56 AM »
hi all!

here I am again, to a feeble attempt to make watchable the roden kit dedicated to nieuport 24bis, which I would like to build as one of the horses of nungesser...
7891

so far only sniffed the box, and looked here and there in the cockpit and engine ... I would not like going into too much detail, here I am more interested to play with the painting, completely silver.
7892

nevertheless, I have already changed (improved?) something. added some detail (tom's modelwork) to the cockpit, and modified engine and hood.

Great start on the Nieuport, Paolo, my friend.  The interior is looking
really good.  Nice job on the seat and cushion.  With your talents, Paolo,
it will end up a perfect model.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Great choice of subject Paolo, and with the addition of Toms modelworks bits this will, with your talents, end up as a really nice model, I;m looking forward to seeing your next updates.

Excellent start, Paulo, and brilliant choice of subject.  You've chosen my favorite Nieuport scheme.

Cheers,
Bud

thank you all, indeed I didn't do too much, yet...

I started spraying some colors on the interiors just to get them ready to close the fuselage, but I'm seriously doubtful about the colors to be used on the metallic frame and the controls of the cockpit! any ideas?

assuming that the canvas was painted in silver just outside of the kite, I painted the interiors in radome tan, to be worked on , obviously.
8104

and then played a little with alclads..
8106

now it's time to work on with brushes to differentiate the various parts and materials involved.
8107

and here the frame.... pink? apple green? ???
8108

bye bye and thanks again for your attention and appreciation, I'm very sorry that I'm a little absent on other discussions, it's an hard time here, and being somewhat upset, I find difficult to write liberally... but I keep on reading! ;)

Looking great so far! Once you have the formers and stringers painted it should look awesome!
