Hello.

Managed to get another Eduard cowling, so you can see what a difference it makes. In the first pic, 253 in front, 53/153 behind. Also you can see the little open-backed seat, need to make another now.

There you go :)

P.S. Now that I've added the Eduard cowlings, does it still remain a 'Glencoe' build?

Maybe a "Gleduard" build? Or how 'bout an "Edcoe" build??  ;D (Hope this helps a smidge!)

The Eduard cowlings really mate well with the Glencoe kit, there is a real sense of 'cohesion' and the appearance of the fuselage is much improved. In the picture you can see an Eduard tail elevator, which will add a nice look to the model once deflected.

I'll use the Glencoe tailplane though, once the rib tapes go on it should match well :)

I remember seeing the master for the Glencoe Albatross. Bill Brown of Toronto made it. We were all very excited with the possibilites...then the kit came out. You are doing a great job of bringing it back to life.

Some pics. I've cut out the centre of one wing to better show the radiator housing, cut the ailerons off (which have nice washout). Also cleaned up the pilot and groundcrewman, even added the buttons to his jacket. Might need to change his hat though, he's German. Or use elsewhere.

I like the kit, and would happily build another :)
