Thank you all so much Lance, Ernie, Bob and Bo

Your appreciation is hartwarming for me. The fact alone that you did follow my build, gave me advice, was very special to me. And your very kind words really mean a lot to me. I know that photo's mask a lot of imperfections. So there is a lot to learn ( about painting, weathering a.s.o.) Glueing is still a risky business for me because of my deteriorating eyes. Rigging went munch better because of the excellent eyelets of Bob. I sometimes do have stress, but overall I'm really enjoying it and as I said before, it's like having a lot of friends all over the world. So... a big Thank You.

Kind regards
Patrick

Hello Bud, thank You so much for your kind words. So much appreciated.
Ernie and Bud : I'm thinking of the Roden Nieuport 28c which is a beautiful plane who did the first American Air Victory. It's not WnW but I think I'll give it a go.

Kind regards and tnak you!
Patrick

Good choice with the Nieuport, Patrick.  It will give you valuable experience
with your modelling and will make a handsome model.
I look forward to following your build when your start.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

I know that photo's mask a lot of imperfections.

Yes, but remember that's true for all of us ;)

Hello Patrick:

Your first model?  Well, it turned out pretty dog gone nice.  As Lance said, your skills will develop and you will progress with each model you do.  This turned out excellent, and as BO commented, the camera hides all of our mistakes and imperfections.
Looking forward to see what you do with the NIE 28.  It is a neat airplane and the Roden kit isn't too bad either.  Keep 'em coming.
Best

Patrick,
So PLEASED to see you have completed this one with NO MISHAPS! You have a Tripe to be very proud of and looking at yours makes me wish mine was as nicely finished!

Hello Petrov, Mark and BO,

Thank you for your very kind words and encouragements. It is so much appreciated. Bo, you are right, but you deliver almost macro photo's where you can see everything. I wouldn't dare do that!

Kind regards
Patrick

Hi Rick and Lindsay,

Thank you! Coming from all these top modelers it's really comforting. Rick you are far to kind, yours was so much better finished and your rigging was far better. I'm glad that you made a build log of the Nieuport. I will be looking at it all the time!

Kind regards

Very neat job Patrick!  Everything looks properly aligned which is not easy with 3 sets of wings, and the rigging - which makes all the difference to models like these IMHO - is spot on.  :)

Sincere congratulations! It is an absolutely very fine "first one". Very sharp and clean. I am looking forward to see more of your projects.

If I may... One thing missing, to my taste, is a bit orangy shade on the wood. I would suggest you to try to airbrush thin Clear Orange coat - it does marvels :)

Well done on completion Patrick; isn't the Sopwith Triplane a lovely aircraft? I very much like the photograph you've taken from above and behind the whole aircraft. I suspect that for many aircraft an attack from there and at that range would have had fatal consequences, but with even a reasonably skilled pilot I'd expect the Tripehound to be away in a trice!

Best wishes
Nigel

Thank you very much Ian, I was rather pleased of the aligment, but the rigging... My eyes are deteriorating so rapidly. I cut 3 wires, trying to cut of the last little piece of wire against the tubes and had to start all over again. I appreciate your comments very much!

Thank you Prze, really happy with your comments, coming from someone who made such a wonderful tripe before me. And you are quite right about the wood. I struggled making the painting look like real wood but did not succeed. Thank you for the tip!

I'm very happy with your comments Nigel. Indeed it's a lovely plane. It was very manoeuvrable so you are probably right saying that it could get away under those circumstances.

Thank you again Nigel.
