Wonderful work on the Tripe, Patrick.  You have, I figure captured the PC12
just about perfectly.  Well done, my friend.  I don't know what trouble you
had with the airbrush, but your paint looks great!  The build is coming along

Thank you so much Ernie. I had some spots in the PC12 layer and the final clear coat is not uniform enough due to the airbrush. Maybe I thinned the clear painting not enough for the air-brush. Still learning there. Thank you again for following my build Ernie.

Hi all,

Referring to the problems Chris encountered assembling the undercarriage of the tripe and the time I already spend looking for a way to fix it, I came to a kind of a solution which might be not right at all.
I measured the distance of the holes in the fuselage were the legs of the undercarriage have to be glued in. This was 20mm. Then I measured the width of the spreader bar and found 42mm. Then I measured approx. the height from spreader bar to fuselage (30mm). This gave me the angle the legs make on the spreader bar which was 70°. Measuring the angle on the drawings of Ian Stair of the tripe in Windsock Datafile (22), I found 70° too. So I made a cardboard template of 70° that can be aligned with the spreader bar and so adjust the angle of the undercarriage legs. Does this make any sense? Who could help me out?

   That's basically the same method I use for the cabane struts and occasionally the undercarriage on most of my projects, a template is a wonderful aid when it comes to alignment and angles. I'd say you are on the correct track, brilliant!
