Guy, Bo, Rick and Dave, thank you for your kind words.  I should have the other photos up in an hour or two.
Cheers,
Bud

Superb job, Bud! I really enjoyed you build and look forward to your next.
The finish is just amazing, weathering and shading just right.  Well done!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks, Nigel!  There were a few headaches associated with this build, as well.  Never the less, I would still build another.
Cheers,
Bud

Bud,

As others have said, you have created a masterful build by successfully using some pretty advanced techniques.  You should be very proud of it.

Just catching up on  this one. Amazing work and a great looking scheme. Taking a Roden kit and accomplishing these results is very impressive!!....but your tape on decals still makes me nervous... ???

Thanks, Phillip and Steve!  As long as you have a few coats of clear flat under your tape, it goes fairly smoothly.
Cheers,
Bud

Hello Bud:

Great job on this one Bud.  I am going to try some of your techniques on my current build.  Hopefully I will have success.  I really like the way this turned out, as has been said your shading, really highlights the craftsmanship you display.

Looking forward to your next build.

Best

Mark

Thank you, Rick and Mark!  What's up next for you, Mark?  Your D.VII turned out spectacularly.
Cheers,
Bud

Hi Bud:

I am working on another DVII, this is the DVII F.  I am using the kit markings for Eric Just, Jasta 11.  I like the colors and the contrast.  I am using a combination of Aviattic cookie cutter decals for the wings and Wood and Wire faded 4 color for the fuselage.  I will be using Testors MM Sand to blend the wings with the fuselage, but still provide some contrast.  I am not doing a build log as there have been many build logs on the DVII and I bring nothing new to the table as it is OOB.  I will post photo's of the completed model in the completed model side of the house when finished.
Gotta love the DVII.

Take care

Fantastic, Mark!  I can't wait to see her.  Yeah, you're right, buddy.  After this build, the D.VII has won me over.
Cheers,
Bud
