Currently on the bench is Roden's nice little Fokker D.VII.

And the scheme I intend to use.

Roden's representation of the fabric behind the seat is pretty sparse.

I glammed it up a bit with some pe stitching.

I used Wood & Wire reverse decals for the cockpit interior. Since the Roden kits have no throttle or spark advance lever, I cobbled some up with bits and pieces of left over pe from Fotocut, Mirage and Eduard. Looks reasonable enough, I s'pose.

One of the reasons I chose the Roden kit over the Eduard was the fuel tank. Roden has one, Eduard doesn't. However, following kit instructions, the outboard starboard filler spout is too long and had to be modified.

The instrument panel was a sad, dull, little lump of ill-defined plastic, so I scraped it all of and built it all up again.

Didn't know what to do about the seat since I wasn't sure whether Monnington was equipped with a parachute or not, but it seemed like I was just getting bogged down doing research and thinking about it, so I used a resin seat cushion I had in my parts bin, courtesy of albatros 1234. Thanks, Scott!

I've also got the wings assembled, primed and ready for lozenge, so I should have more photos up soon.
Thanks for lookin' in.
Cheers,
Bud
