Great job Ernie!  The cockpit looks good.  I had the same problems with the Roden Ni. 27 cockpit.  The good news is that you can't see much anyway when it's closed up! ;D

Cheers,

Bob

Thank you Dave.  I appreciate your kindness.  Still toiling away
working on the stabiliser/elevator, trying to get all the holes
drilled for pins to connect one to the other before I break all my drill
bits! ;)  Good grief they are fragile! :o

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thought I'd look in a bit Ernie; nice work going on there, even if much of it will be hidden.

Well, I take my virtual hat off to you Ernie..

These kits are a lot more challenging than the click together Wingnut ones!

Keep her going  ;)

Ok my friends, time for a mini-update.  I have done the pre-shading on the wings -
not my strong suit, but should suffice.

I have cut the elevators from the horozontal stabilizer to position them lowered as they
were normally in that position when the aeroplane was on the ground.
Here they are not cemented into place, but just to let you see what I wanted to get at.
The rudder is also off centre a bit, which I think looks a bit better. ;)

You see there is still a lot to do on the tail, but it is coming along slowly.
That's about it for now.  More updates to come.
Thanks for looking! :)

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Ernie,
Your pre- shading and silver Dope finish look great! Nice work!! I also like the splattered dirt on the tail!

Thanks Ernie. It's fascinating to watch a quality build like this. When I do finally start to build some of the 1/32 things I've got in the cupboard it will be the first time I've attempted pre-shading and I'm anxious to learn.

Best wishes
Nigel

Your work so far is excellent Ernie, love the pre-shading and the off-set elevators and rudder adds a really nice touch, well done.
