Oh what a beautiful piece of work, Dave! I've really struggled in the past with the Roden D.VII, but you've shown me what can be achieved.

Best wishes
Nigel

She is a beautiful looking D.VII Rick, I love the mustard/yellow colour you used, very appealing.

Des.

Thanks Des! I always appreciate your thoughts

Thanks for the compliments on my Fokker.  Here is another, the 1/48 scale Eduard "Weekender" kit of Hermann Goring's D.VII F.  I modified the kit to more accurately resemble Goring's aircraft with a cut down left side of the fuselage in front of the cockpit, a handle to help him get in, and small shields on the sides of the guns to keep the empty cases from blowing back into the cockpit.  I also added a flare gun tube and cartridges to the right side of the fuselage.  Whether or not you hate him for his role in the Nazi party, he was still a German ace, blue max winner, and leader of JG1, so he must have been a skillful pilot in WW1.

Rick, the yellow paint scheme is really sharp.  Beautiful model, my friend.
Dave really nice work on the Hippert and Goring Fokkers.  Very good
scratch-building.  Well done!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Love this one, partner!  One of my all time favorite D.VII's.  As I said before, the see through effect of the fuselage lozenge is perfect.
Cheers,
Bud

Rick, been busy , so back again and dittos from Amigo 3.

The Goring DVII is lovely, seems I missed it somehow!

The other Dave,
Lovely builds! It is difficult to choose a favorite between the two!

Nice work Dave! Of course my favorite is Franz Buchner's late OAW built version.  Is this the WNW kit?

To Dave and Dave:  Sorry I missed these, guys!  Truly brilliant models from both of you.
Cheers,
Bud
