Afternoon all,
All done I think

Plus points on the build are Steven's spoked wheel, Doug's wooden prop, Vladimir's lozenge, HGW seatbelts and of course Uschi's lovely wood decals

I didn't use the resin manifold as I ended up preferring the kit one. The Gaspatch turnbuckles (in conjunction with Bob's of course

) were very good, however, I was a little disappointed with the Gaspatch anemometer - looks good - but it seems to me to be over scale - compared to the photograph of the original - it looks at least 50% too big - and as a result didn't look right on the wing so I left it off.
Losing the windscreen did me a favour as I scratched one with very thin perspex which looks far more to scale against period pictures. The kit one looks like armoured plate glass in comparison (obviously, I found the original windscreen just as I'd fitted the new one..).
I ended up replacing the broken strut in the end as it broke again..

the kit comes with a set of unused D.v struts so I modified one of those - as I've said - I always seem to get a major catastrophe with the top wing at some point!

But, as always with Wingnuts, a hugely enjoyable build - and a much longer one than I usually do, but all the more satisfying as a result..

I'll post up a set of pictures shortly in the completed models section.
Thanks for all your help & encouragement along the way - still undecided on my next build..
Cheers
Guy

Edit.. Forgot to mention the HGW nail heads.. They're over scale - but I think they blend into the model really well - they don't stand out as being wrong and certainly add a lot of detail to the overall look - so I'd definitely recommend them
